Anti Inflammatory - contains more than two dozen anti-inflammatory compounds blocking enzymes that cause pain, swelling and inflammation.

Anti Alzheimer’s - slows formation of beta-amyloid, the substance responsible for the plaques that obstructs cerebral function.  Turmeric enhances nerve growth in the frontal cortex and hippocampal areas of the brain, promoting the clearance of amyloid beta plaques that are characteristic of the disease.

Anti Oxidant - Curcumin, an active ingredient in turmeric is an antioxidant.  Antioxidants are compounds found in plants that protect the body’s cells from damage caused by free radicals.

Anti Arthritic - decrease pain, stiffness and in inflammation caused by osteoarthritis, gout and rheumatoid arthritis.  Curcumin found in turmeric provided benefits without side affects.  Patients in the study reduced use of anti inflammatory drug medications which can cause intestinal bleeding.

Anti Diabetes - Cholesterol lowering by interfering with intestinal cholesterol uptake.  Converts cholesterol into bile acids and increases excretion from gall bladder.

Anti Cancerous - Turmeric is effective in animal models in prevention and treatment of colon cancer, mammary cancer, prostate cancer, murine hepatocarcinogenesis (liver cancer in rats), esophageal cancer, and oral cancer.

Colon - has a high cellular replication rate of 3 days.  Turmeric promotes destruction of the mutated cells protecting the colon from cancer.

Breast Cancer - Turmeric slows the spread of cancer to the lungs by regulating the genes that cause it.

Blood Cleanser - reduces carcinogenic compounds that are formed when meats are barbecued, boiled or fried -- by up to 40 percent.

Lower Cholesterol - Turmeric assist the messaging molecule that communicates with liver cells, directing them to increase receptors for LDL (bad) cholesterol.  With more LDL-receptors, liver cells are able to clear more LDL-cholesterol from the body.

Heart Diseases - cholesterol is what damages blood vessels and builds up plaques that can lead to heart attack or stroke, preventing the oxidation of new cholesterol may help reduce the progression of atherosclerosis and diabetic heart disease.
