Digestion - Ginger promotes healthy intestinal flora which aids in absorption of essential nutrients and freshens breath.   Ginger also neutralizes harmful bacteria in the stomache that may cause stomache ache.  In Japan it is eaten with raw fish to kill threatening bacteria in sushi.  

Improves blood flow and increases energy - Ginger contains chromium, magnesium, and zinc, 3 essential minerals for improving blood flow. Ginger increases energy production in the heart, and enhances calcium pumping within heart cells that is required for optimal cardiac output. Improved blood flow, and optimal cardiac output means quicker delivery of oxygen through out the body, hence increased energy. No wonder scientists called ginger a cardio tonic agent. Feeling tired? Gout slowing you down? A little bit of ginger will get your juices flowing again.

 

 Nausea  - Ginger may helps with motion sickness, morning sickness or nausea caused by chemotherapy or migraines.....it can lessen vomiting without side effects.

Exposure to cultured brain cells of shoagol decreased swelling and increased heat-shock protein.

Fat accumulation - Daily doses for eight weeks and it facilitated fat digestion in mice and increased energy levels.

 

Infertility and erectile dysfunction - Ginger contains manganese, essential to neurological health.  It helps trigger release of the sex hormone testosterone and vital to sperm production.  Its rare for the body not to have enough but insufficient amounts could lead to erectile disorders.

 Anti-diabetic & Lowers Cholesterol  - Ginger antioxidants slow development of atherosclerosis, which is aortic lesions.  Associated is a reduction in LDL (bad) cholesterol levels by stimulating conversion to bile acids and exiting the body. Increases blood circulation, which can reduce risk of heart attacks by reducing stickiness in blood platelets. Tested by mice. Consult doctor if taking prescriptions for high cholesterol.

Common cold & cough - Generates warmth and soothes sore throat.

Anti Inflammatory - contains more than two dozen anti-inflammatory compounds blocking enzymes that cause pain, swelling and inflammation.
